When he signed a two-year, $50 million off-season contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, veteran quarterback Tom Brady was familiar with Bruce Arian’s coaching style – no risk, no cookie jar. While Brady still has to get used to the Aryan style of coaching and risking deep balls, the veteran quarterback said he knew what he could give his coach this festive season. In an interview with Buccaneer reporter Casey Phillips, Brady, 43, he told us that like his grandmother, he likes to bake cookies for Christmas.
I’m not a great cook at all, but I can cook a little, says Brady, as the author transcribed in the YouTube interview video.
Given that you ended up in the team with a coach whose motto is no risk, no biscuits, and that’s all you can do, I think it’s a sign, Phillips replied. So Brady told me to bring him some cookies and see if he had permission. I think he’ll like them.
Brady says he’s agift certificate.
In an interview, Phillips asked Brady if he was a good or bad present, to which the veteran quarterback responded: I think I’m good enough to give gifts. Brady said he had thought a lot about what he should give to people, especially those who supported him throughout the year. It’s nice to show my generosity and thank the people who helped me realize my dream and supported me in making my dreams come true, Brady said.
Brady thinks the Buccaneers can go far in theplayoffs.
Brady also told Phillips that he thinks pirates can go even further in low season. If we work hard and give of ourselves and we’re selfless, and then when it comes to the game, we perform well and don’t throw the ball, Brady said. The veteran quarterback added that the team needed improvement in all respects, especially in the efficiency of running and passing.
He said the team had done a lot of work to solve the penalty shooting problems they had been following at the start of the season. For his part, Brady said he had to improve the defense of the football and the connection to the offensive line and the receivers. In a recent interview with Jim Gray on Westwood One Radio, Brady said he felt good for the four-game period.
