The rise of success stories in football these days is becoming a trend. The likes of Kasami, Muto, and Kondogbia all break the mould of conventional success and bring an element of surprise when they make their moves. So far this summer, rumours have been rife that both United and City have been scouting young Wolves winger Adama Traore.
Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers are both looking to sign Adama Traore as the Premier League clubs try to land the Suresnes-born winger. The 24-year-old winger is valued at £22m by the Championship club, who are keen to boost their attacking strength and are willing to sell Traore this month.Amid the hustle and bustle of Euro 2020 and the Copa America, the summer transfer window has opened and Europe’s biggest clubs are looking for a bargain in the transfer market. Check out the latest gossip below, and see all the official proposals here.
MAIN STORY : Liverpool interested in Wolves star Traore
Liverpool could be ready to take the next step in the transfer market. Football Insider reports that the club have made enquiries about Wolves striker Adama Traore.
The report claims Jurgen Klopp is interested in the Spaniard, who has been linked with a move to Anfield in 2020 after an impressive season in the Premier League. After just two goals and two assists in 37 appearances last season, Liverpool can now expect a lower transfer fee than the £35m discussed in January.
Although Traore played just 13 minutes at Euro 2020 (as a substitute against Slovakia) before his country lost to Italy on penalties on Tuesday night, the winger can be a versatile addition to Liverpool’s attacking trio by impressing at both ends of the pitch.
The 25-year-old joins former teammate Diogo Jota, who left Wolves for Liverpool last summer for £41m.

Milan will reportedly pay Chelsea just €2 million for the Frenchman, who turns 35 in September. Giroud signed for the Blues from Arsenal in 2018 for £18m. Since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, Giroud has scored 39 goals in 119 games and won three major trophies.
Giroud dropped a tone at the London club last season, but he was still impressive. He scored 11 goals in 1,200 minutes, including six in eight games, in Chelsea’s improbable Champions League victory.
21.09 TSB : Carlos Tevez in MLS?
The Argentine is on holiday with his family in Miami, which has revived rumours of his transfer to the US. ESPN F12’s Augusto Cesar says the 37-year-old Tevez already has three MLS offers on the table, the biggest of which is from David Beckham’s Inter of Miami.
Cesar also included Atlanta United, coached by Tevez’s former Argentine teammate Gabriel Heinze, and Minnesota United, where two of El Apache’s teammates, Emanuel Reynoso and Ramon Abila, play for Boca Juniors.
Tevez told Boca last month that he had no intention of returning, but left the door open for him to continue.
I don’t know if I should say I’m retiring, because maybe I’ll wake up in three months and want to play again and be on the field. But not in a Boca shirt, never again, he said at his farewell conference.
Tevez has won just about everything there is to win in club football: Champions League, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, Premier League (x3), Serie A (x2) and Club World Cup.

In his NWSL career with the OL Reign so far in the 2018-20 season, Taylor has scored 14 goals in 40 appearances and will now spend the rest of the 2021 season with Orlando.
Taylor has played for England since 2014 and has scored 19 goals in 54 appearances for the Lionesses, including a goal against Argentina in the group stage of the 2019 World Cup.
18.58 TSB : Barcelona midfielder Carles Alenha is heading to Getafe for around €5 million, ESPN has confirmed.

Alena attended the La Masia academy and made 44 appearances for the Barça first team. Regular appearances proved difficult for him, however, and he has spent the last two seasons on loan with La Liga clubs Real Betis and Getafe.
He is the latest player to leave Barca this summer, as the club look to spend more money on transfers and a lower payroll to make room for new acquisitions and a new contract for Lionel Messi under the La Liga spending cap.
Jean-Claire Todibo, Conrad de le Fuente and Júnior Firpo, as well as B-team defender Sergio Aquieme, were transferred after the season for a total of €30 million, not counting add-ons.

Sources have revealed to ESPN that transfer talks are underway, with Arsenal rejecting a £40m bid last month and Brighton sticking to their £50m valuation for the 23-year-old, who was unexpectedly included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2020.
It is believed that White is ready for a switch, but Arsenal could face competition from a number of Premier League rivals for his signature, as there is speculation of interest from Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United.
Things may come to a head with the agreement on personal terms, but that’s usually the easiest part of the transfer.
2:17 PM EST: Paris Saint-Germain have conquered the transfer market by loaning Georginio Wijnaldum and Sergio Ramos (plus Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma) and paying €70m for Inter defender Akhraf Hakimi.
However, L’Equipe claims that the French club are also interested in acquiring Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Pogba, 28, is at the end of his contract next summer, so his transfer value will now be lower. PSG will have to act fast, as Real Madrid and Juventus have had their eyes on Pogba for a while now.
2:00 PM EST: L’Equipe reports that Liverpool are looking to sign Renato Sanchez from Lille this summer.
Sanchez, 23, had a setback after leaving Benfica for Bayern in 2016 for €80m, but has returned to his best at Lille and played for the Portuguese national team at Euro 2020.

Ramos, 35, left Real Madrid at 30. His contract expired in June after he failed to negotiate an extension, ending his 16-year career at the club.

10.03 TSB : Gremio have confirmed the return of Luis Felipe Scolari after he signed a contract until December 2022.
The former Chelsea, Portugal and Brazil manager is entering his fourth spell at the Porto Alegre club, with whom he won the Brazilian league, the Brazilian cup and even the Copa Libertadores in 1995.

It’s a very different team than the one I was involved with five years ago at Athletic. Everyone can see that they have grown as a club and individually. The players worked hard, but they got a result.
I have spoken to many players on the national team. They spoke well about the club and its plans, and that certainly helped me in my decision.

I really cherish this number 4 out of superstition, because I have had it since the beginning of my career and it has been with me my whole life and has brought me luck and many victories. Now number 4 is a part of me as a person and as a professional. I am honored to wear this number with a great team like Paris Saint-Germain. So it would be great if I could wear my number here in Paris.
The post was later removed, but Ramos is expected to be confirmed as PSG’s new contractor today. ESPN reported earlier this week that he will join the League One giants for free after signing a two-year contract.
08.53 TSB : American striker Indiana Vasilyev was loaned by Aston Villa to Inter Miami CF on Wednesday until the end of the Major League Soccer season.

Indiana is an exciting young talent with a lot of potential, Miami director of athletics Chris Henderson said in a statement released by the club. He feels comfortable and confident with the ball and is agile in his movements. We believe this is the right place for Indiana to continue her development and reach her potential.
08.30 BST : Arsenal are considering courting Houssem Aouard from Lyon again, but need to contract at least one other midfielder before making a formal bid, sources have told ESPN’s James Olley.
The 23-year-old is said to be on the Gunners’ list, but contrary to reports in France, the Gunners have yet to make a concrete offer this summer. This is at least partly because Arsenal want to improve their midfield and need to transfer existing players before looking at other targets.
Matteo Guendouzi is on loan to Marseille, which is expected to become permanent, while the club are in talks to transfer Granit Xhaka to Roma and are also open to offers for Lucas Torreira.

Julien Laurence reacts to the signing of Ahraf Hakimi at PSG and gives an update on the latest news on the club’s embellishment of Sergio Ramos.
