The Los Angeles Lakers are bringing in LeBron James.

For a while it looked like Joel Embiid was the favorite to win the NBA MVP award this season. The Philadelphia 76ers are seeded in the Eastern Conference and Embiid is playing at an incredibly high level. He is averaging 29.7 points per game, which puts him fourth in the championship.

Unfortunately, Embiid’s MVP chances will suffer as he misses many games due to injury. He has already missed six games and will likely miss more this season. When LeBron James played for the Los Angeles Lakers last month, he didn’t make it any better when he pushed Embiid and forced him to land on his back.

LeBron with a foul on Embiid, who fell hard

– ClutchPoints (@ClutchPointsApp) 28. January 2021

LeBron committed a flagrant foul on one play and nothing else. Embiid is still feeling the effects and blames the Laker star for not making the pain go away.

That’s where it all started, Embiid said of LeBron’s dirtiness. But it’s not worrisome. As NBA players, we play every night and our bodies ache. You just have to take care of yourself. That’s all right. It’s just an airtight seal. As the days go by, some days it gets harder, some days it doesn’t. Today, when we started the game, it was tighter than usual.

Embiid previously had stronger thoughts about dishonesty

Embiid is playing well against LeBron Foul right now, but that hasn’t always been the case. He has always been a very powerful speaker.

First, it’s a very dangerous game, Embiid said last January. I guarantee you that if it were me, I would probably be kicked out of the game, which has happened in the past when I made blatant mistakes for no real reason.

Although the foul clearly hit Embiid, he was lucky the injury wasn’t more serious. Due to injuries, he never played more than 64 games in a season. In fact, he couldn’t even play in his first two seasons because of a foot problem. Let’s hope his body holds up this season because he is playing the best basketball of his career.

LeBron’s chances of becoming MVP continue to rise

Embiid is having a fantastic season, but it will be very difficult for him to become MVP. With Anthony Davis out for an extended period of time, LeBron will steal the show in Los Angeles. He’s already had one MVP season with a healthy Davis. Now there’s no one left to steal his thunder.

If LeBron can lead the Lakers to a good record before Davis returns, it would be hard to say there is a more valuable player. At 36, he will be the oldest player ever to win the MVP championship. This is no mean feat for a player who has defied Father Time for a long time. There’s still a full season to go, but LeBron’s case for the MVP gets stronger with each game.
