Devin McCurty

Nobody’s trying to tell us that Devin McCurty of the New England Patriots still doesn’t have top speed. Security, which also plays special teams, beats the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday with a score of 45-0.

According to statistics from Next-Gen Stats, shared by ESPN’s Mike Reiss, McCourty reached 21.1 miles per hour on its way to the end zone.

The second McCurty time was blocked this year at over 20 miles per hour

McCurty turned on the jets when the team lost in the second round of the Seattle Six.

He was driving at 21.3 miles an hour when he scored six points in that game. This season, McCurty was mostly solid, although he had some memorable moments like this.

Luckily for the patriots there were no such moments on Sunday.

Strong game in each camp

McCurty wasn’t the only player on the team who was brilliant. The number of stars in Sunday’s victory is almost equal to the list of errors of the Chargers.

Shooter Olszewski caught a 31-yard TD pass and returned a 70-yard bet for a touchdown. Both were the first in Olshevsky’s career.

Olszewski lost his job at the beginning of Donte Moncrief’s return, but since he was relegated to that front, he started fighting, fighting. In a victory over the Arizona Cardinals a week earlier, Olshevsky had come back for a touchdown after Anfernee Jennings got an illegal false block.

Olshevsky seems to have gotten a good job as a return boy and catcher. Like others, another good performance against the Los Angeles Rams will be staged in the same stadium on Thursday.

Thursday evening in Los Angeles

The Aries pose a different threat to the Patriots than the Chargers.

The Ramsees don’t have a starting quarterback that could confuse Bill Belichik with a different pattern than he is used to. Like the Chargers, the Rams has the dominant line of defense. But unlike Joey Bos, who mainly plays as a cyclo-cross rider, Aaron Donald Rams moves across the defensive line, which wreaks havoc.

Besides, Rams doesn’t cry over special teams.

On Sunday the chargers put a new minimum of uselessness in this aspect of the game. They gave the Patriots their first defeat at a crucial moment in the league when the game could still be questioned, with 12 people on the field awaiting an imminent New England bet. In two other cases, the loaders were queuing up to bring back the forest, with only 10 people on the ground.

The goal that led to McCourty’s touchdown was also blocked and Los Angeles gave Olshevsky 143 yards.

It’s just that the Rams are a much better team than the Chargers, and the Patriots need to be ready for the show.
