In a world with 5 billion people, it’s refreshing to see more and more people are finding the courage to express their identities. Kat Von D recently made a splash on social media with her introduction of her new tattoo artist, Gorou. Kokomi, the brand’s first full-figured line has also received a lot of attention for featuring the first full-figured model on its cover. Miko, the newest addition to the line, was also one of the first full-figured models to walk the runway at New York Fashion Week.
As the first couple of weeks of school are underway, many students are getting to know their classmates and are attempting to form relationships. For some students, like fourth grade Kokomo, Gorou has been a part of their lives for a while, but for others, like second grader Miko, it’s the start of something new.
Inazuma is coming soon, with a brand new plot set far from the usual Mondstad and Liyue we’re used to. Genshin Impact 2.0 will feature three new playable characters: Kamisato Ayaka, Yoimiya and Sayu. But miHoYo has also revealed a brand new cast of main characters who will take part in the new story missions. These characters may also become playable in future updates.
In this article, we look at three major characters that were revealed during the Genshin Impact 2.0 special: Kokomi, Goru and Yae Miko.
Sangonomia Kokomi – formerly known as Mimi of Genshin Impact Beta
The first is Sangonomia Kokomi, who leads the Sangonomia resistance against Baal’s forces. She is an intelligent and resourceful military advisor, and her command skills are great enough to provide strong opposition to the Shogun’s massive army.
Kokomi has a very sweet appearance and always wears a happy smile that can melt the hearts of those who follow her. But behind it is a very calculating person who always seems to have everything in his hands. She’s probably the brains of the resistance, and her role in the upcoming Genshin Impact storyline could be important.
Kokomi and his troops are at the Temple of Sangonomia, which is not surprising given their namesake. This shrine serves as the headquarters of the resistance, located in the heart of Watatsumi Island.
It is not yet known what kind of weapon Kokomi wields, but it seems that she has a hydrovision, which suits her appearance very well.
Goru – Sangonomiya General Resistance
If Kokomi is the brain, then we have Sangonomia’s resistance muscle, Goru. He is a general in the forces of Sangonomia and leads a force that fights against Baal’s decree on hunting visions. He is a tough fighter who perseveres against all odds and is very reliable in difficult times.
According to Kazuhi, Gorou is a direct man in his words, but has a strong sense of camaraderie, especially with his soldiers. One can count on him and he is ready to protect his friends at any time. Goru has Geo-Vision and wields a bow, which is already a unique combination of skills not yet seen in Genshin Impact.
Yae Miko – Narukami Gyuji Grand Temple
Finally, we have Yae Miko, who was already introduced during the 1.5 special, as well as snippets of Inazuma’s views. She is the head priestess or gyuji of the great Narukami temple, located on Mount Yugu. She exudes unparalleled beauty, and also possesses wit and cunning. Miko seems to have an agile personality, is very unpredictable and has his own way of doing things.
Miko turns out not to be mortal, as she is an old friend of Morax and Baal, and knows Ganu personally, all of whom have lived longer than mere mortals.
We don’t know anything more about Yae Miko, so we’ll have to wait for the new story missions to finally get to know these important characters from Inazuma. But for now, these characters would be major figures that will interact with Journeyman and form the ever-growing content that will appear in Genshin Impact in the near future.
